November Preschool

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Here is what is coming up in Mrs. Staheli's class this month!

Four fun filled weeks await our preschool class in November. The month creates excitement as we bring in empty cereal boxes to construct a castle in the first week of December. We hope to make it tall enough to touch the ceiling. Of course we will play in, out, and around it.

Other themes for the month are:

Opposites – it is amazing to me how fast children catch on to opposites. We will wear our shirt backwards and wear our pajamas to school. It is fun to occasionally do things the opposite way.

Favorite Stories - The favorite new story for most children will be , “Caps for Sale” . Some other stories include – Billy Goats Gruff, Three Little Pigs, Little Red Hen, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We will re-enact the story, make art projects and learn from other centers that help us remember each story.

Food - How could you go through November and not talk about food? We will take a field trip to some local grocery stores and will enjoy making our very own peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Thanksgiving – Learning how the Indians helped the Pilgrims is a great reminder about friendship. We will finish the month with a Thanksgiving Class Party.
