January is here! Here are the weekly themes Mrs. Staheli's classes will be learning about. Senses - We have 5 senses; hear, sight, taste, touch and smell. We will paint with pudding, make sock puppets, make flowers that really smell, draw with our eyes closed while listening to music and do some texture rubbings. We will also make smores and enjoy exciting activities in center time.
Bodies, Health, Clothes and Doctors. This week our field trips include a doctor, dentist, eye doctor and sports therapy office.
Time and Money. This week we learn about the purpose of money and how people work to get money. We will learn about the clock and the sequence of things.
Walking Report Card and Parent Teacher Conferences. This week we have a great opportunity for parents to join with their children in a one-on-one situation where the child is able to show the parent some learning activities they experience in the classroom. Thursday and Friday are opportunities for parents to meet individually with the teacher and discuss their child's achievements.
It is going to be a great month.
